No.98 Motion Design Thinking and Digital Technology丨動態思維與數字技術
在當下動態視覺設計越來越頻繁地出現,以及創意編程、人工智能被越來越多地作為平面設計師的創作工具時,引發編者重新思考技術與平面設計間的相互影響。在本期的主題中,編者聚焦動態視覺設計領域,關注承載信息的媒介和設計工具如何塑造和影響設計師的創作方式和思維模式,從而影響平面設計的發展。

本期通過對話動態設計師和設計軟件開發者,展開對技術與設計師創作思維之間關係的探討。他們雙方都認為數字技術只是為擴大設計師的想象力和增強視覺傳達效果的工具。而視覺設計發展的背後,其實是設計師思維與創造力的不斷進步與開發,也是設計師與設計軟件開發者之間的共創。編者希望設計師們能看清視覺設計的本質,利用現有技術的不同使用方式或者開發新的設計工具來探索新的視覺形態,成為促進視覺設計發展的引領者。

At a time when motion design is more ubiquitous, and when creative programming and artificial intelligence are increasingly being used as creative tools for graphic designers, it has prompted us to rethink how technology and graphic design interact with each other. Therefore, in this issue, the editor focuses on the field of motion design, and highlight how the media that carry information and design tools shape and influence designers’ creative methodologies and thinking patterns, thus affecting the development of graphic design.

This issue explores the relationship between technology and designers’ creative thinking by talking to motion designers and developers of design sofeware. Both of them see digital technology as a tool for expanding designers’ imagination and enhancing visual communication. While behind the development of visual design is the continuous progress and development of designers’ thinking and creativity, as well as the co-creation between designers and design software developers. The editor hopes visual designers can understand the essence of visual communication, and use existing technologies in different ways or develop new design tools to explore new visual forms, only then can become leaders in promoting the development of visual design.
